A Word Nerd
I began my career as a professional writer in middle school. I wrote a report for science class on the Snowy Owl (Nyctea scandiaca), and my teacher called my parents, threatening to expel me from school because he was convinced that I had either plagiarized the assignment or had asked someone older to write it for me. My parents referred Mr. Skelton (Yes, I still remember his name!) to my English and history teachers to confirm that I was not a cheater, just really talented. I then got paid to write papers/ do homework for more popular kids. I became Editor of all school newspapers and yearbooks until I graduated from high school. I now have a bachelor’s degree in English Education. I boasted a perfect 4.0 GPA in both my master's degree programs, and I am pursuing my doctorate in Educational Administration at one of the top schools in the USA. I taught at a snobby high school for a couple of years before being lured away by a big salary in corporate marketing. I sometimes teach university students in an adjunct capacity. I also have a paralegal certification, and my research abilities are top-notch.
